#770 - "Heartbreak Hotel" - Elvis Presley - Greatest Hits - The second and highest-charting Elvis song on the list, "Heartbreak" is one of Elvis' most famous songs and it's my favorite of his.
#769 - "Shoplifters Of The World Unite" - The Smiths - Louder Than Bombs - The first of two Smiths songs on the list, "Shoplifters" is the best anthem that the band ever made.
#768 - "She's The One For Me" - The Beta Band - The Three Eps - The second and top song on the countdown for the Beta Band, this is the one that the band is best-known for, as it was featured in the movie High Fidelity.
#767 - "Creep" - Stone Temple Pilots - Core - The first of six STP songs on the countdown, "Creep" is the band's best song from their "Let's rip-off Nirvana" phase.
#766 - "I Can See For Miles" - The Who - Join Together - The first of nine Who songs on the list, "I Can See For Miles" is one of the band's best from their early 60's Mod phase.
#765 - "Unbelievable" - E.M.F. - Schubert Dip - The only song by E.M.F. on the list and the only song that anyone knows by the band. How one-hit wonder are they? The second time most people heard from them was when they changed the lyrics to their song for a macaroni commerical 15 after the song became a hit.
#764 - Change (In The House Of Flies) - The Deftones - White Pony - The first and only Deftones song on the top 1000, "Change" was about as mainstream as the indie metal band ever got and it's one of the best metal songs of the last 20 years.
#763 - "I Hate Myself For Loving You" - Joan Jett And The Blackhearts - The second of three Jett songs on the list, "Hate Myself" was the band's biggest hit outside of the obvious #1. It's one of the best riot grrl songs as well.
#762 - "Black Or White" - Michael Jackson - Dangerous - The first and only Jacko song on the top 1000, "Black Or White" is the last great song the man recorded before he lost his damn mind. It's a complex song with a lot of guest stars and different phases throughout the song.
#761 - "All Around The World" - Oasis - Be Here Now - The second of six Oasis songs on the list, "All Around The World" was one of many great Oasis anthems that defined the band and eventually limited their ability to move on with their career.
