#759 - "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" - The Animals - The first of three Animals songs on the list, "Misunderstood" is a frequently covered classic from the early British Invasion.
#758 - "In Your Eyes" - Peter Gabriel - So - The first and only Gabriel song in the top 1000 is by far his best song and earned eternal fame as the song playing on the boombox that John Cusack held up on rain during "Say Anything".
#757 - "It's Still Rock N Roll To Me" - Billy Joel - Glass Houses - The third of four Joel songs on the countdown, "It's Still" was Joel's response to New Wave music. It was also notable as the #1 song in the country the day I was born. It's not a particularly important fact, but at least it wasn't some shitty pop song.
#756 - "Tangled Up In Plaid" - Queens Of The Stone Age - Lullabies To Paralyze - The second of sixteen QOTSA songs on the list, "Tangled" is a play on the title of one of the best songs ever written and one of many songs on the list off of Lullabies.
#755 - "Girl, You Have No Faith In Medicine" - The White Stripes - Elephant - The second of ten White Stripes songs in the top 1000, "Medicine" is one of many great songs off of their best album, Elephant, and features some of the band's most clever lyrics.
#754 - "Stranglehold" - Ted Nugent - Out Of Control - The first of two Nugent songs on the list, "Stranglehold" is one of the best psychedelic rock songs of the classic rock era and features some of the era's best guitar work courtesy of Uncle Ted.
#753 - "What's Left" - Big Timber - Red Cloud West / Big Timber - The third of four Big Timber songs on the countdown, "What's Left" is off of the band's first split EP and was the blow-out closer at their first set in Pierre.
#752 - "Monkey To Man" - Elvis Costello - The Delivery Man - The second and most recent of eleven Elvis songs on the countdown, "Monkey To Man" is the best Elvis song in more than a decade, featuring great lyrics and an outstanding chorus.
#751 - "The Way I Am" - Eminem - The second of three songs on the chart for Eminem, "The Way I Am" is Eminem's best and most direct assault on his critics in the media.
