Top 1000 Bands #740-#731

740 - Caroline's Spine - A one-hit wonder with one of the best rock songs of the modern rock era, "Sullivan".

739 - The Academy Is - A dance emo band with a couple of solid albums to their credit.

738 - Naughty By Nature - One of the most popular rap groups of the 90's, NBN had big hits with "OPP" and "Hip Hop Hooray".

737 - Curtis Mayfield - One of the kings of 70's funk, Mayfield was never a favorite of mine, but he's got enough great songs to justify this ranking.

736 - The Magic Numbers - An indie rock band with a few great albums but no breakthrough hits.

735 - The Robot Ate Me - An electronic artist that reminds me of Radiohead. I saw him perform in Pierre. It was weird, but his recorded music is very interesting.

734 - Anthrax - A band that's more famous than well-known, Anthrax was one of the early influences of the rap rock genre that would destroy music at the end of the 20th century.

733 - Tantric - Take Days Of The New and subtract their arrogant prick of a lead singer and this is the band you get.

732 - Rainbow - A late-70's, early 80's heavy metal band that has had four lead singers (take THAT Black Sabbath!) and each one sounds completely different.

731 - Dr. John - The king of New Orleans boogie rock, Dr. John had a huge hit with "Right Place, Wrong Time".
