It's not rock related, but Kanye West's new album did in fact beat the shit out of 50 Cent's new album. If this holds up and it's likely that it well, Mr. Cent will be honor-bound to stop recording albums. He'll either give up his career or his credibility. Thank you, Kanye. You're doing God's work.
The top rock debut was the Soundtrack to the Beatles' themed movie Across the Universe at #49.
Also debuting this week were Pinback debuted at #69, Animal Collective at #72, Hot Hot Heat at #86, Ani DiFranco at #89.
Modern Rock:
The Foo Fighters stayed at #1 with "The Pretender".
Rise Against debuted at #20 with "The Good Left Undone".
Mainstream Rock:
Three Days Grace remained at #1 with "Never Too Late".
